Nomade Express Slee...
I love the teepee cards, but way too costly.
How fitting that I was just looking at this earlier today. I found a great selection at http://www.tinyprints.com/shop/moving-announcements.htm
These are cute -- but an e-card is way less costly for mass mailing new address info
While these are certainly cute, I think I need a new reason to buy stationary like I need another hole in my head. Email is fine.
Where are the "I" have moved cards?
My husband and I are moving into our first house soon, and I plan to announce it through a new service I've found called Postcardly. They turn an email that you send with an attached picture into a physical post card. So we'll take a picture of us and the dogs out in front of the house, use that as the image, and type out the message! It's a life saver for those trying to read my husband's handwriting and it's really a great price performer, as well as being great for older relatives/friends who don't use email!
yeah, I'm not a "we" either.
I still enjoy sending real mail and think it's fun to buy unique things. Better than sending real mail, RECEIVING it!
Most likely I'd send the cards to a few close people and email the address change to the rest.
I like real mail too. Found my cards at Walmart for .75 cents!
Single people move, too!
These are great choices. I'm also interested in "real" mail, especially if it's as beautiful as these cards. Going above and beyond an e-card says a lot to me. And regarding "we" vs. "I" cards, come on, folks...
I've always thought making an envelope out of a google map of your new house would be a great touch. Like this
eh, I'm with the emailing crowd. I don't like receiving too much paper mail, It just seems wasteful. Seriously, how do I even recycle those obnoxious singing cards?
I made my own, make sure you have enough time to do it though- I was rushed with packing and everything else under the sun when making them and gave the new street number with the old street name. I'm "special." lol
Felix Doolittle has a cool selection as well, and I've ordered their return address labels as gifts. www.felixdoolittle.com.
Re: "We" and "I"--totally understand. If you email Felix, they can customize the card as needed. I didn't take my husband's name when we got married, so "The Hills" didn't work for us, but "Amy and Jonathan" did. The company was very accommodating.
I love getting real mail, but since I'll misplace the card anyway, an e-card works better for me.
I think this is such a cute idea, but definitely something I could DIY! That'll get my creative juices flowing!
I'm moving in October.... and I second everyone else who said 'what about I?'??? AT is looking pretty biased at the coupled, tisk tisk.
This is Kathryn Murray. I designed one of the "We've Moved" card sets in this post. The comments about the need for an "I've Moved" set are great, you're absolutely right. I'm adding this to my next release of stationery. Thanks for the feedback.
