Update: sfgail wrote in to say: My husband laid all of those tiles himself (and has been at the building dep't. all morning trying to finish the rest of our renovation). Our house is a small one (800 sq ft) in Bernal Heights that we've been renovating ourselves. Perhaps one day we can even move in! We are actually doing a green renovation, hence the dual flush toilet. I don't think those tiles are recycled, though, as they were pretty inexpensive.

Gail, your bathroom is lovely!

We are having a hard time locating a small window for our shower remodel. Most out there have larger dimensions. Is your window new, Gail? If so, what sort of window and brand did you use? We are probably going to buy a vinyl one for the shower stall because of moisture issues. I'm not crazy about that, but even our architect is recommending vinyl for a shower stall.

I'd also be interested in finding out the model of the showerhead hardware you are using. Nice job!

Who makes the shower head you used, it looks great! I want one!

Thanks to all for the compliments. It's exciting for us to get a little boost of energy, as we're still in the middle of renovating. The vanity came from Floorcraft on Bayshore Blvd. in SF. I don't know the make. The sink is all one piece of glass and is from Best Tile, also on Bayshore. Again, I don't know the make. It was really inexpensive and is from China. The floor is not stone, it's just plain sand colored tile.

We got the window from our local lumberyard, Sierra Point. It is vinyl, and we can't remember the brand (inexpensive and not fancy). I think they had this size, and we didn't have to order it custom. One mistake that we made was that we originally bought a sliding window, but our architect friends suggested an awning window, so the water doesn't collect in the track. So we exchanged it. Also, the frosted glass isn't optimal, I afterwards found out that there is a different kind that would let in a little more light.

The showerhead is from Dornbracht and the sink faucet is Danzer. The toilet is a double flush from Toto.

Beautiful tiles SFGail! Love the shower fixtures too. Tell your husband that he did a wonderful job laying out all those tiles! What an accomplishment.

Luv, Luv, Luv this bathroom! Especially the tiles, what is your source?

It is crazy how much this bathroom looks like mine?!? My glass tiles [slightly lighter in color] were from Ann Sacks. With a contractors discount, the Taiwan-made [instead of Italian] 13"x13" tile panels were approx. $3.99 each.

This bathroom is beautiful and it makes me want to cry. We just had someone come in and lay those small tiles in 2 of our bathrooms in Marrakech. But because they were individual tiles, everything came out wavy and awful looking. And now we have to rip everything all out and do something else:(

I agree with most that you should leave it light.
Try painting it the color of the grout. =)
Someone mentioned silver. Great idea! A metallic would be very cool!!
