SF Good Questions: Chairs To Go With This Table?

AT:SF, I bought my dining table at an antique store in Nebraska a few years ago - I fell in love with it instantly. But in all this time I've never been able to find chairs I like to go with it. We recently moved into a 1935 California bungalow and we're in the process of fixing it up - and we're still looking for dining room chairs...

... I am not a fan of clutter and I tend towards clean lines, so most of what I like is pretty modern - but I am not sure how modern dining chairs will look with this table, I'm worried a stark contrast (say with a white chair) may give a cheesy Miami Vice sort of vibe. I think the chairs need to be tall with a slim profile to fit correctly under the table and to work in the smallish dining room, and I'd like something that can be wiped clean (no fabric seats!) because I have a sixteen month old who is pretty messy! Oh, and I'd like to spend around $100 or less per chair.

I've attached some pictures of the table...the floor will be replaced soon, so it's not a consideration. The chairs in the picture are from Craigslist - we were planning on painting them white and reupholstering them, but after wiping mashed banana unsuccessfully off the seats and then having one collapse under my son, they're on the way out. The other furniture in the room will be the white Torsby sideboard from IKEA, and a white tole chandelier or some kind of modern pendant lamp. We can't decide on that either! Any help would be much appreciated!
