We know we're not the only ones who get frustrated because we can so easily visualize something we're looking for, but just can't find it. Well, Etsy's brought back their Alchemy feature, which may solve some of these frustrations. Buyers can post requests for custom handmade items, and then sellers bid on the opportunity to make the goods. For instance, a New York buyer wants eight simple, small, metal shelves as shown in this diagram.

I'm on Etsy and have participated in Alchemy (as a creator, not a buyer). So far so good. I'd have to say the key is to make sure all the details are laid out clearly before you begin, and all should go well.

cool.
Thanks E.M.H.
This has my mind working now.
I'd imagine there could be some pretty complex stuff then. Those shelves for instance look like they'd have to be made in a metal shop.
