Art for everyone.
Proprietor of a small New York gallery, Jen Bekman's launched 20x200 to make art accessible to everyone. What does that mean? It means large editions of low-priced prints. It means if you have access to the Internet, and $20, you can have a work by an emerging artist. It means no more art from IKEA hanging on your walls. No more blank walls. No more excuses.
The prints are ever-changing: Every Tuesday and Wednesday at 11 am (PST), emails announce new editions of one photo and one work on paper. The smallest size print is available in editions of 200 for $20. And if you're feeling flush, medium-sized editions of 20 are priced at $200, large-sized editions of 2 are usually $2000. All are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity numbered by the artist.
Roughly three weeks of editions are shown on the site right now to give people an idea of the range 20x200 will be showing. But look at what time it is -- in just a few minutes fresh art will be announced. Pretty cool.

the large editions are 2 Grand....not cheap.

But the large ones are editions of 2. I think 2 grand is fair for that. It isn't like they're getting 2 grand for hundreds of prints.
