Artful Escapes: Maria Bianco Photography

You might've noticed in last week's Weekend Guide that the photographer Maria Bianco has a show on this month at the Fillmore Street DWR. We've yet to check it out in person, but today we were perusing Bianco's online portfolio, and the photos positively whisked us away from our damp, foggy city morning into the summer countryside. If you're looking to hang art that will transport you, her lovely shots are very much worth perusing...

Maria Bianco's work captures colors beautifully, bringing to life quiet moments and vivid landscapes that make us long for a peaceful getaway. Her portraits are also fun to flip through, as are a series of fun, often poignant photos of musicians and musical performances.

Her work, all available in custom sizes and frames, will be on display until August 16th at Design Within Reach on Fillmore Street between Pine and Bush. Her portfolio includes a preview of the photos displayed in the show as well.
