Etsy Scavenger: Eames in Art

10-7-08eamesetsy.jpgDo you know about the 'Eames' search technique? You go on Craigslist and search for Eames. What type of results do you get? A ton of cool stuff, with maybe an Eames lounger or LCW sprinkled in, but mostly just cool items that would fall into the Mid-Century modern category. It's the same for eBay. So, we decided to give it a shot on Etsy. What did we find? Tons of cool stuff. But what we really liked was the beautiful art, all incorporating the iconic designs we've grown to love.

I bought the yellow Eiffel from simplyvivienne last month. I think I would much rather have the original than the print, though.

Elloh also has some film paintings, some of which are on my order list.

It seems AT always gets ahold of etsy finds a few months after I've been all over them. I started a separate blog mainly as an etsy wishlist for myself because of it. I guess it would help if I actually had readers. Oops.

Hey thats my Yellow Graphic Eames Chair! Yes, it's true the original is much more vibrant than the print. I just can't bear to part with it, perhaps I will paint some more versions to sell. Thanks for the feature! AT is one of my daily blog haunts.
