A little bird told me that the Polaroid will no longer be manufactured. Anyone heard anything 'bout it?

yes, Polaroid will no longer manufacture instant film. Hopefully Fuji (who already makes a few versions of instant film) will pick it up. Lots of photographers shooting large format rely on Polaroid sheet film for metering. I personally love shooting Type 55 and will miss it terribly.

I hope someone picks up on manufacturing polaroid film. It's so sad to see another film based medium bite the dust.
I had a Polaroid Land 250 which had the nicest film qualities. Great lens, beautiful muted colors. I've posted some 25 year old images on my blog.
polaroids cant be beat for their quirkiness and timeless quality. and they look cool too. good to see some simple art coming from exhibiting these pics.

I've had my polaroid since 1989 and I hope someone keeps making the film.
