Yesterday, Elizabeth pointed out buyolympia's giveaway of 10,000 Vote! posters created by Nikki McClure. We'd like to point out her other noteworthy and timely works: Vote for Survival. Sorry folks, these ones aren't free! These limited-edition silk-screen on wood boards are part of McClure's train-traveling art tour of the West Coast.

San Franciscans, catch the show's opening reception tonight (6-9 p.m.) at Needles & Pens, on display through November 10.
Los Angelenos, the show makes its way to Giant Robot, October 18-November 12.
And everyone else, a limited number of prints are available for $150 at buyolympia.com.

I'm not usually bothered by grammatical errors, but "these ones" always gets me. Try "these particular ones" or just "these".
They are nice posters.

Just as long as there aren't any images of "acorns" on these.

Maybe it's because she's a local artist (yea, Olympia!), but I love Nikki's work. My bathroom is decorated to match her "Breathe" and "Return" pieces.

Are those death cap mushrooms? Did the kid in the cap just take a mouthful of wood?

I lived in Olympia before moving to Portland, and I would see those mushrooms all the time while walking in the woods. Amantita muscaria (Fly Agaric, red cap with white spots) not Amamita phalloides (Death Cap, white cap). Both are lethally poisonous.
