Earlier this week we blogged this wall of photos at Palihouse -- and completely forgot that a couple of years ago Anh-Minh made a great wall of photos using Plexiglas...
We have a hunch it's a heck of a lot more economical than an enormous frame.

We were inspired by this project and did our own for our dining room. We live in NYC, so we went to Canal Street to buy our plastic (1/8" plexiglass), had them drill the holes in the corners for us, and that was that. It was easy, though the plastic cost us about $100. http://flickr.com/photos/59816658@N00/2414025391/in/set-72157604542476143/

Oh boo. I tried to see flickr picture linked above, but it said it was private. Oh well. I love this idea, and am figuring out how to work with it in our hallway.

I like the idea, but plexiglass looks soooo bad on a wall. It's flexible, so unless you go very thick (3/8" or thicker) it warps and you can see the reflections of the warpage as you walk around the room. In a piece this large I'd think it would look like something out of a cheap pizza parlor.
I used to sell the stuff, and customers would come up with cool ideas like this, but there were very rarely satisfied with the result.
