You've probably heard of
826 Valencia, San Francisco's own pirate store/ after school writing workshop located in the Mission, but did you know the organization now has branches in cities across the US? And yes, many of the other 826 locations include stores with a variety of eccentric and fun items...
Best of all, proceeds from sales go to 826 National's tutoring, writing and publishing programs for students across the country.

pirate posters by "office" design in san francisco: original, witty and awesome, awesome design (on nice materials)... so much better than a pastel repop poster reminding me to chill and keep moving.

This was priceless.

Witty. Maybe we'll see less of those pointless 'keep calm' posters now.

Brilliant. Office did a great job with the wares in the SF store. I checked it out a few months ago and photographed the whole space, if anyone's curious. It's really well styled and detailed [and the posters are awesome]:

Then I had a chance to check out the Chicago store [spy theme], which wasn't quite as hilarious, but it was still well done:

The posters are great, and I would love to see the store signage up close.
