• Cure Clock: 9 Weeks Remaining
• Assignment: Sign Up and Read to p. 69
• Flickr Pool: AT:SF Cure Pool
If you're like us, you've been kicking around the idea of going through your house and organizing, decluttering, and tackling all those little projects for a while now. Why wait, drag it out, or do it alone?
Over the next eight weeks we'll follow the chapters of our book, Apartment Therapy: The Eight Step Home Cure, to revitalize our homes one step at a time. Our job here at AT will be to champion you, guide you and connect you with other folks doing the Cure. An official signup form and the first assignment is below the jump...
Jamiemcquary has an art corner set up in the living room. We love the vibrant blue walls and detail in the floors.
Sign up: Again this year we are introducing an official sign up form (below), so we can better support you as you go along. It's also instrumental in keeping us all committed to the process. Make sure to tell us what city you're in!
This week's assignment:
• Buy or borrow the book.
• Read to page 69. This takes you through the structure and background of the Cure, a self-interview and short quiz on the health of your home, and the basic concepts of Bones, Breath, Heart and Head.
The Cure posts will go up twice a week on Mondays and Fridays, allowing for plenty of time and space to comment. Your comments and pictures will be in the limelight, so post them here:
>>Northwest Fall Cure Flickr pool
The goal of the Flickr pool and doing the Cure together is to support, inspire and answer questions as you go. The more you participate, the more you will get out of it. Also, the Cure is not about cleaning out your bank account at DWR. It's about figuring out how to make what you already have work, using your home more and welcoming your friends into it.
Don't forget to post your BEFORE pics first!!!

Moviehippo has a great sofa!
It would look fabulous with a mirrored coffee table, or a pair of X-Base upholstered stools covered in a black and white Zebra-stripe Ultrasuede.

The links to the worksheets don't work.

Hey! Just wanted to say that moviehippo is my husbands flickr name and I go by Mrs_W on AT. He will be helping with the cure.
I got the sofa for FREE on craigslist!! I did have to rent a uhaul to pick it up and it wouldn't fit in the elevator so we had to carry it up 5 flights of stairs, but so worth it!
I have also been thinking mirrored table or x benches. Any suggestions on inexpenive ones? I might even do a mirrored table in the middle and an x bench on either side--then you can put your feet up and still have a place for remotes etc.
I need to take more pics and do the worksheets. I think I'll post more once I've done that.

P.S. Apparently I need to vacuum!

Mrs W--
Great find!
Try a pair of the X-Benches available from Ballard Designs - in Easycare Zebra:

You might even consider layering a large and heavy wool area rug over your carpet too...

Gorgeous couch. I might go with a coffee table that breaks apart into three separate pieces or go with three end tables that can be moved about (in front of the couch) as necessary. Try not to hide that middle leg. It makes the couch so distinctive!
