Northwest Fall Cure: Clearing the Path
Week Two: Weekend

10-24-08-cure.jpgcrynfiction is making a trip to Goodwill — but keeping the kids.

• Cure Clock: 6.5 Weeks Remaining
• Assignment: Read pp. 70-99, clean and declutter the kitchen, cook
• Flickr Pool: Northwest Fall Cure Pool

10-6-08-cure-logo.jpgWe had a lot on our plates this week — literally! As one of the most frequently used — or conspicuously unused — rooms in our home, kitchen week can be one of the most difficult steps of the Cure. But the work week is over, and we face the weekend with fresh resolve to clear out our shelves and scour our surfaces until we have a place that practically calls out to us for making yummy meals.

How's it going? We were inspired by this post by fjorlief: "I bought flowers and realised that I needed to clear away a place to put them! Cleared away a spot on the dining table, and then took a photo...I rearranged my living room a bit, to create a sitting area. It worked, when friends came by, we actually sat down in the living room to talk. I'm still feeling rather overwhelmed with all that needs done, but am also finding that taking photos is a really useful tool, one I'd never thought to use." That's what the Cure is all about!

The kids are cute...and look like normal kids. What's the big deal. Seeing alot of complaining people lately. Guess nothing better to do?

The kids are adorable! And kudos to crynfiction on the significant de-cluttering.

How is everyone doing during week two of the Cure? I still have a beast of an oven and a few more kitchen cabinets to clean. Thank goodness next week will be an easy Cure week for me!

I haven't seemed to get much done these past 2 weeks. Kind of a bummer. I hope to really crack down and get stuff started and maybe even finished!
My boyfriend isn't helping... it's hard to do it all with someone you love just watching tv and not pitching in.

    :( need strength!
