We have a clever friend who's an inventor and a yogi. When he works he sits on the floor on a zafu cushion. He uses a low Japanese table for his laptop and hooks it up to a flat panel monitor.
The monitor is attached to an an adjustable arm that's attached to the wall. Depending on how he's sitting and how energetic his posture is at any given moment he can adjust the screen so that he doesn't have to strain his neck or his eyes.
It's the ultimate in ergonomic correctness. And it suggests to us that attaching a monitor to an adjustable-mount arm is both a space-saving and spine-saving way to deal with TV-watching as well, especially if a space is small or awkward.
So we went looking for a source on the web that will deal directly with consumers and found Canadian-based MediaMounts.com, a company that specializes in monitor mounting products for LCD and CRT computer monitors, plasma displays and projectors.

This company doesn't sell to consumers, just to resellers. From their "New Visitors" page:
"If you are not a reseller you may still register at mediamounts.com to view products offered by various dealers across North America."
A great site for getting LCD wall mounts is mountcenter.com, a link I found on another SF Apt Therapy post: http://sanfrancisco.apartmenttherapy.com/sf/102606/audio-video-computer/unfinished-muro-media-storage-013939
We use something akin to this at my workplace as our job entails long, strenuous hours staring at a monitor (think of a high stressful occupation in the public safety sector.. very demanding and involves shift work... Ugh!)...
And if I am not mistaken, I believe this company supplies our equipment. It's truly a God send!
Ah, the excellence of ergonomic design... moves and contorts to suit *my* needs. About bloomin time.. (;
