OK but I think you should get rid of the Star Wars thing.

That is an awesome idea :) just a quick question: where did all the essential stuff in the first picture go? Listerine, hairspray, etc?

Retro star wars sticker is awesome @_@ I'm a big geek though.

This is very confusing. (and I don't want to have to click through for it to make sense. I like a one stop shop in my blogs)
1) Where'd the rest of the stuff go? and
2) The cabinet in the first picture isn't the same cabinet as in the after pictures - The after pictures are surrounded by tile on the left, the grout line is in a different place and it at the end of the light fixture. So there are 3 mirrored cabinets and the "before" the the far left cabinet and the after is the middle cabinet? So did she do this to all three? I know it isn't that important but, a before and after should be that, a before and after - of the same object.

As for the design - that paper would not be my choice. I like a nice mirrored interior.

Wait, is the top picture now cropped differently? You can't see the top or bottom and I know you could before. Huh? Yes, it isn't a big deal, it isn't the point, but why a different picture? Why why why?

there are three medicine cabinets. the first pic is a close-up of the left one, second is of the middle, third is a close-up of the middle. those just happened to be the best shots for illustrating the project. all cabinets got the paper treatment.

I accomplished something similar in my medicine cabinet by just contact-papering all the interior surfaces (except the shelves). looks a lot nicer than the previous badly-painted finish. I also papered the piece of particle board that makes the back wall of my secondary cabinet (IKEA, intended as a DVD rack).

PS: 1 for the Star Wars sticker. :)

your stuff was so organized that before scrolling down, i thought your before shot was the end result!
i like the idea of making hidden spaces (like the inside of medicine cabinets) pretty. just like garments that are well finished and have a beautiful lining!

I've been thinking about adding some contact paper to the interior or our medicine cabinet. The trouble is I can't find any that I like. I hung my three Elvis collectors' plates in the bathroom a few weekends ago. Looking very snazzy now. So, now for the cabinet interior I've been thinking that I'd like to find something shiny. Or maybe black and shiny. Or do they make flocked contact paper? Something that might evoke a "Velvet Elvis?" Anyone have any cool sources?

I need to do this too!

I don't know. I mean in the 'after' shot where all the bottles are whitle or solid and pretty, the bold print looks good. I can't imagine it would look with the Listerine and other colorful or ugly but necessary bottles and tubes. I think it would just look cluttered and be distracting.

I think I tried to find flocked contact paper at one point and didn't get real far. I thought about flocked wallpaper, but I felt silly buying a whole big roll of expensive paper for one little project.

I love the paper, and as I told her yesterday, I get so obsessed w/ making my cabinet interiors look cute (blame Martha Stewart), I take out all the essentials like Listerine and contact solution which is totally ridiculous but hey, that's what the messy basket under the sink is for, right? :)

Hey Sally, I think maybe aluminum foil inside would go better with the Star Wars sticker! Did you see the 30 Rock where LIz Lemon gets out of jury duty by dressing up as Princess Leah during selection? It's a brilliant idea.

I did a massive contact paper search for lining my kitchen cabinets after buying my apartment last year. Hands down, KMART is the best place to go. Martha Stewart has an enormous selection of great contact papers.

Just give me a bare cabinet. That contact paper or wallpaper gets old real fast.

Dkzody, that's why I mounted it onto removable foam core! I'm sure in 6 months I'll want to change it out for something different :)

I did this and it looks really cute... but it was mentioned in the Feb issue of Domino already.

I prefer bare bones too.
