Inspiration: Unconventional Bathrooms
Marie Claire Maison

We came across this wonderful roundup of some beautiiful and uncoventional bathroom designs on the Marie Claire Maison website. The materials used are unusual and many feature unexpected details like wood engravings or chain shower curtain.

1 We love the free standing bathtub and the open shelving running along the wall. The dark purple calla lilies look beautiful with the neatly stacked fuchsia towels. The metal containers are a nice touch.

2 This one is in a remodeled castle in Morocco, owned by an American film director. It was renovated keeping in mind the history of the place. The colors are gorgeous.

3 This house in Finnland has a small bath house in addition to the main building dedicated for bath and sauna. It feels so open and it blends in seamlessly with its surroundings.

4 The London bathroom features stunning wood engravings on the walls. Located under the stairs, it fits perfectly within the angled walls of the structure.

5 The chain shower curtain is a graceful seperator of the shower from the rest of the bathroom and it also beautifully diffuses the light.

Like 'em all, particularly the second (Morocco) and third (London).

#4 is beautiful; but, I think it'd be really tough to keep a bathroom like that clean.

I love the first one, but unless the concrete floor is heated, it would be really cold.
