Luxury Textures & Fabrics in the Bedroom

leather011209.jpgWhy not go a little wild in the bedroom? There is no need to always be practical when it comes to decor decisions and the "boudoir" is just the place to add in some luxury fabrics and textures...jump below for some inspirational examples:

I have a lightly tufted, soft white leather headboard from ligne roset in my bedroom. It's quite beautiful and better yet, it was free.

The first one is hideous, in my opinion, but the others have elements that could go a long way to making a bedroom luxurious.

I normally don't like wall to wall carpeting, but I absolutely love the bedroom in the first photo. However, I don't like the small bookcase at the foot of the bed.

Swoon! The more texture in the bedroom the better, I agree. And, leather, cashmere and velvet? What a divine combination. I just want to climb into that photograph, curl up and take a nap.

anyone know who makes the blue-and-white striped blanket in the first photo?

I'm not so keen on the Mauve Velvet and Lavender Laminate bedroom (It's a bit 80's for my taste) but the other rooms are perfectly lovely - esp the first photo w/ the wall-to-wall shag, built-in campaign-style casework and tufted leather headboard - and the luxe fur bedspread on the poster bed.

I'm a self-proclaimed luxury texture tramp.
(swoon over *faux fur* only of course).

loving the textures, but again these will only work in a largeish room.
