$999-$1,199 at Room & Board.
I love the look of Room & Board furniture, but I'm always so disappointed with the craftsmanship of anything there that isn't a classic Eames or Herman Miller piece. Last weekend I stopped by to fondle the Anders dresser I spied in their latest catalog. It looked great front the front-- but oh the disappointment when I discovered the drawers are pressed wood and veneers. :-P Nineteen-hundred bucks for this? Ikea-quality furniture should have Ikea prices.
Can anyone suggest a furniture company that uses quality construction (solid wood, dovetail joinery) and has a modern aesthetic? I'm considering Spectra Wood and Gat Creek dressers, but wish they looked more Heywood Wakefield and less Shaker. Any advice is appreciated!
