AT:SF, I love this great iron daybed that I saw at The Gardener -- it has such beautiful lines. I would have scooped it up right away if it weren't for the $2600 price tag. Do you have any suggestions for similar, less expensive ones? Thanks!

Anyone?
How about this model modified with bolsters and a mattress cover to match the Gardener version?

I know it's really not the same at all, and the iron frame is way cooler than this wood one, but the West Elm circle cutout daybed has a similar shape, albeit with slightly heavier lines. Lots of space under the mattress, low arms. And the cover comes in a color that might be similar (it's hard to tell from the photo), though they don't have that same color for their cylindrical bolsters.

maybe you can find something you like just as well, with some daybeds on sale for $699.

3 or 4 that may work, for much less...you'll have to buy the bolsters, and cover them in a fabric of your choice.

On the very low end of the budget, there is the Meldal daybed from Ikea:

I just got it for my study/guest room and think it looks great.

I've seen something similar at Tazi in Hayes Valley, probably around $750 - $1k.
