apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Inspiration: Curtained Bed

9-9-bed.jpgWe've never been very interested in canopy-type beds, but then we saw this lovely iron bed with simple, sheer panels. What a fantastic way to create a sense of separation, particularly in, say, a studio.

Those panels are so pretty. Where are they from?

This pic is from Emery & Cie, and I'd swear it's been on AT before.

I recall this was posted fairly recently color therapy. Are Emery & Cie products available to the general public in the US? I don't see prices or ordering info. Gorgeous textiles!

It's beautiful, but I feel like this photograph is posted somewhere on AT at least once a week.

jacasi --

with this textile, they say you should email them (there is a US email, as well as Brussels -- you pick).

Most of their products have prices and ordering info, and are available in the US.

Leslie, when you say "we," who are you talking about?

Michael W., it's the royal "we." She just means "me" or "I." All the posters do it.

I personally find it to be one of the most annoying and pretentious features of this site. I guess the posters don't have the self-confidence to express their opinions in the first person singular.

I agree wholeheartedly Griffin. I could do with much less of the royal we... as well as the recycled posts.

Jacasi, here's the color therapy post you were thinking about. I remember at least one earlier post with the same pic.

I personally don't think the royal we is a big deal. You know it's one person. It just doesn't matter. There are better things to worry about.

And I think this is very pretty. I might have to put this to use in a few years.

"Geeky", Pistachio, not "dorky". "Geeky" carries a whole brand of chic with it, whilst "dorky" is camping out in front of a theater a week before the movie starts, and dressing up in costume. (~shudder~)

And yes, the Tree of Gondor comes to mind. ;^)

Thanks, Griffin, that's what I thought. And it is annoying.
