Back in August, AT:SF reader Spinningscreen wrote in to ask for suggestions of what to do with a long hallway. Jump below to see the results...

after
Hi AT! I have since completed (well almost!) the artwork project for our bowling alley hallway which I posted a few months ago. With a little leftover paint and a roll of painters tape I ended up with this. It is a skyline silhouette of downtown Toronto which I replicated from an image I found on the internet...

after
...Still need to remove my registration grid marks with one of those ‘magic erasers’ as I cannot paint them out (it’s the landlords paint job). It worked out well layout wise as the CN Tower is directly across from the bedroom door, and the towers which make up the financial district are across from the office door. Still contemplating adding a moon or perhaps a few airplanes buzzing around as this is the view from the Toronto Island Airport.

Thanks for the update, Spinningscreen!

Very cool! I wonder why the "after" was photographed with the light off. Would the glare make it hard to see the mural? It would be nice to see it lit up.

Love it! A couple planes would look nice I think.

what about some glow-in-the-dark stars???

(just kidding!)

I prefer the before, maybe it's because the after looks so dark. Wish I could see it with light.

Not my cut of tea, but if it turns you on... I'd love to see a sunset colored blue " sky" above the buildings mostly to take advantage of the amazing curved corners where the wall meets the ceiling and give the sense of a glowing blue tunnel through the space.

Love the concept - can we see the "after" with lights on?

What a great idea! I would love to see some detail shots of the building. How long did it take you?

That's fun and very cool. I'd choose to add a few airplanes instead of the moon. Great job!

This is great. If it were mine I'd put a little King Kong on the CN Tower. It'd add a touch of humour to the work.

Wow, the first time I looked, I totally saw this wrong...it looked like an unfinished wall in the process of being painted lol. This is such a good idea though. I love it.
