We have yet to visit Red Ticking, a vintage fabric and home accessory store in Seattle's Madison neighborhood, but this profile of the owner's home, featured in Cottage Living, certainly whets our appetite.

The number one thing we love about Pamela Robinson's 1950s rambler are the windows above the fireplace, at the line of the ceiling. The architecture adds necessary edge to the washed-out, French feel of the decor. We're not sure we could get away with it out-of-the-box.

I'm dying to find a modern like that up in New England, but it seems that this place is doomed to small saltbox capes with short ceilings or drafty old Victorians that need a ton of work. JEALOUS!

I love the coffee table. I may have to try and make something like that. It almost looks like it was made from giant Lego Technic blocks.
