Blogging Sunset: Decorate with Winter Greens

The article includes a helpful, annotated list of the various greenery befitting the holiday, from Arizona cypres to spruce. Our favorite is the table centerpiece of champagne flutes with juniper sprigs. Other ideas are mantel and door arrangements.

Winning in the "most like a tree, but not" category: a branch hung on the wall and decorated (upper right).

I don't know...the branch on the wall looks a bit sad in a Charlie Brown Christmas tree kind of way. But the other ideas are beautiful, and most of us already have those Crate & Barrel votive holders... Thank you!

A big branch in a very small apartment -- particularly a branch high up the wall in a small loft -- could be very cool and not pathetic at all.

I like ideas that don't require moving furniture, as truly small apartments often don't have anywhere to move it to.
