A lot of work turned it back into a single-family home -- complete with an elaborate cornice, an amazing floor medallion, a mahogany staircase, and drool-worthy bay windows.

I'm interested in the sofa featured in the front room. Does anyone know the manufacturer, where it can be bought, and how much it might cost? I did a quick look at This Old House's website and didn't find any information on the sofa. thanks, yjr

I don't know what sofa that is in truth, but it looks an awful lot like MY sofa, which I both at Therapy on Valencia & 16th. It was inexpsive (about $1200 for the 87-incher) and is comfortable and has held up well. I did mine in microfiber but they have a range of fabric options, some of which of course may be more expensive.
