Using Binder Clips To Keep Things In Line
Country Home

012309-storagesolutions.jpg We are super big fans of smart organization, especially when they are ideas that can have multiple uses like this bulletin board. It's original intent is to hold business cards and notes, but we think it would make a great calendar if another row or two were added. Click through the jump to hear a few more thoughts on this fully customizable idea!

All you need for this fun idea to keep business cards or your dates organized is large binder clips, a small tackboard, striped paper, and pushpins. It's a simple way to keep the clutter under control instead of filling junk drawers never to see the light of day again.
It's also has the ability to be changed out to match your favorite design trend. Simply change up the paper whenever the mood strikes!

I love binder clips, in all sizes--they are endlessly useful around the house. Best thing ever to poach from the office supply closet. :)

I like how this still has an office look to its organization. I've been thinking of creating a board similar to this with clothespins. You can see my ideas here: Poesia-Design
I also like the idea of framing the board so it looks official.

Wondering how many times those push pins are falling when the clips are pulled off improperly. The fuss would drive me nuts. Although I like the way it looks and it does serve a good propose. Maybe instead of push pins, some kind of peg board would be easier to maintain.

click212: It's not a problem if you use the large binder clips and the backing board is reasonably sturdy. I've had a single version of this next to my front door for years, for things I need to do the next time I leave the apt., and the pushpin never comes out. I do use the metal-nubbed pushpins, though, which have a much longer pin than the plastic primary-colored ones do.
