For quite a long time we've been intrigued by the idea of living on the water. Barges, tugboats, yachts, motorboats, houseboats, floating homes, they all call out to us... so we were excited to find Gary Cookson's A Home Afloat. When we got our hands on a copy, however, we found that A Home Afloat also gives us some insight into the lives of the owners (most of whom are in Europe, although three are based in AT:SF territory: Redwood City, Seattle, and Victoria, B.C.). We even found a boat, now in France, belonging to a former co-worker.
