Idea Journal & Coloring Book by Rock Scissor Paper

7-15-08 coloring book.gifWhenever we can get our hands on some, we'll go to town on a coloring book and some crayons. There's something very relaxing and comforting about the activity. Unfortunately, no one's quite tapped into the grown-up coloring-book aficionado market just yet... or at least that's what we thought. The best thing about this? It's geared toward design!

There's a Modern Home version, with Mid-Century exteriors and interiors, and a Creative Interiors book featuring furniture and design elements as well. The books consist of 12 coloring pages, 25 grid pages (for plotting and designing your own space), and 25 blank pages for notes and stuff. What a fun way to experiment with different colors and styles for your home, no? See if that color combination works without having to break out the drop cloth. You could run into trouble trying to get the paint store to match a Crayola, though...

I doodle home designs / floor plans / modifcations from sun up to sun down. Finally a cool new tool for me! Also, i'd reccomend colored pencils or pastels ;) more color choice.
