Moving Kit from See Jane Work

8-11-08 moving kit.jpgThere are about a million things that can go wrong in a move, and usually about a million things do. Our motto is if it doesn't fit in our car it has to go - be it to a friend, Goodwill, or a garage sale. And while this has worked for a nomadic 20-something, we realize that most moves require a lot more organization and logistics...

8-11-08 moving kit 2.jpgThe moving kit strives to make the process go a whole lot smoother, with sections dedicated to every step of the process. It includes help on finding a mover and comparing estimates, change of address forms, labels, and tools for settling into your new home... all helpful if you've decided against trying to fit that credenza into your back seat.

Martha Stewart and Real Simple have good moving checklists that you can print for free at

Sorry, but this just seems like a moneymaking scheme for SJW. As Lizzy pointed out, you can print out free checklists, and places like Home Depot and Lowe's give you free moving kits/lists with great coupons. So does the post office.

We used so many of those coupons when we were renovating our house, I joked that Bob Nardelli was fired from HD because of the losses.
