apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Normal Rooms

2007_02_14_salinas.jpg
Today's web find: normalroom.com, which encourages everyday people around the world to upload images from their homes, for purposes of cultural exchange and design inspiration. Sort of an AFS for interiors.

Right now participation is still fairly small and the site is hardly the massive worldwide database it promises to be, so searching for something specific (like "bedrooms in Japan") is often futile. But browsing is still fun. This fun room posted by one Jesus Salinas, apparently in Japan, is where we arrived after giving up on seeing Japanese bedrooms.

Check it out here.

CoriZ,

It's Louise Campbell's Prince Chair, which we actually wrote about last year -- click on my name for the link.

Louis Campbell is already very big in Sweden.

Check some of her other work here:

In the Stockholm furniture fair I saw a miniature edition of her Campbell 275
glass lamp, which is supposed to be in the market soon:

The above is the big edition. The smaller edition I have no photo of, but I really liked it.
