The Space Planner by Meg Mateo Ilasco

We don't know how she does it. The Bay Area’s Meg Mateo Ilasco designs a line of textiles, runs the Mod Economy sales and has written several fantastic books. With the AT:SF Fall Cure in full swing, The Space Planner may come in handy when figuring out how to best arrange your rooms. The book includes questionnaires, budget worksheets, laminated grids for use with the vinyl furniture stickers, and pockets for storing photos and articles.

Heads-up: The launch party for Meg's latest book, Craft, Inc., will be held in San Francisco next week — and there will be lots of cool giveaways for the home, including:

The party is next Tuesday, October 2 (6-9pm) at 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco. If you're in the neighborhood, be sure to stop in and get some tips directly from Meg.

I love The Space Planner! It is Colorforms for grown-ups. Standard room elements (shower stalls/beds/kitchen sinks) are scaled to the same ratio as architectural plans so you can modify your room arrangements directly on your architectural plans and test out how flexible your remodel will be.
