We gave a copy of The Way We Live: An Ultimate Treasury for Global Design Inspiration to a friend as a gift for Christmas. But to be honest, we had a hard time giving it up. We were oh-so-very-tempted to keep it for ourselves.
By Stafford Cliff, with beautiful photographs by Gilles de Chabaneix, the book is amazing. Focusing on home design in all parts of the world, it includes architectural styles and decorating details. The 480-page book is essentially an encyclopedia of style.
This is a wonderful book; definitely inspiring!
When I'm not perusing it for ideas or escapism, it sits proudly on a prominent table in my living room.

this is something I would like to see more of. It's always fun to find out a new title to check out.
I have stacks of them at home and have semi-resolved not to keep adding to it...unless it's a FANTASTIC book.
