Linen-Cotton Dishtowels at Crate and Barrel

5-13-linentowels.jpg
We like to keep stacks of dishtowels in the house, they come in handy not only for drying dishes and hand but also are the perfect general (not to mention green) cleaning tool - polishing mirrors, wiping down counter tops, dusting furniture, the options are limitless. Our current favorites? The linen-cotton blend towels from Crate and Barrel.

The linen makes them lint free while the cotton means no need to iron. White may seem impractical for cleaning, but we love it because stains can be easily bleached out. Of course, if you want to dress them up they're the perfect canvas for screen printing or embroidering.

Currently on sale, $6.95 for four at Crate and Barrel.

The last dishtowels (white waffle weave) I bought from Crate and Barrel ended up being made in China.

Where are these made?
Aren't there any decent domestically-made options left out there?

I've never tried these but the ones similar from Williams-Sonoma are exceptionally amazing!

Agree with Emily. I use to get WS towels from their outlet store. Havent used paper towels in 8 years.

these are SO cheap in price, it IS obvious that they are probably made in China. I had cotton towels manufactured in the US and the per peice price at COST to make was $1.35 These are around a $1.75 retail which means that the manufacturing cost was probably under 35 cents each.
