Close-Up!: Julie and Andrew's Chalkboard Wall

4-11-close up.jpgIt's been a while since we posted our House Tour: Julie and Andrew's Art-Filled San Francisco Abode, but that doesn't mean we've forgotten their kitchen wall.

Julie used chalkboard paint, and then chalk and a damp sponge (see the details here: Good Questions: Paint Colors in this House Tour?) to end up with an "uneven washy feel."

(The print is by Shepard Fairey.)

This is so cool and dramatic...it looks like expensive slate.
