Barnyard Modern?

All of these great designs with a cow grazing on the lawn or a horse peering in the window are cracking us up. Something about the intermingling of modern homes with barnyard animals is a little off and a little intriguing all at once...

Kind of makes us want a pet pig in the apartment or a neighborhood rooster (we've actually spotted live chickens in the city before!)

That cow in the first pic is still one of my favorite things ever.

that 3rd pic freaks me out.

but the dream is to have my modern home in the middle of a giant pasture...

i think alot of modern design thrives in such settings- minimal, clean lines, simple design: it creates an atmosphere where the outside surroundings can be better observed and appreciated, at least for me.

I loved the cow with the heart on its forehead too! I posted on a baby calf that was born with a heart on his forehead right around Valentine's Day- great timing! You can see him here.

Yep tifa333, that doll is my ultimate nightmare. I'm a chef so I guess I have issues with a horse in the kitchen, also.

Shoo! shoo! Back to your OWN quarters!!!

(The 4-H fair used to be down the street from my folks house. Probably once a summer an escapee from the livestock shed found it's way to our front yard which had a creek running through it... So I have almost HAD this experience! We would have to go down to the fair and report the stray so sometbody would come fetch it...)

my favorite ever mingling of cows with human space was my great aunt's tennis court in the middle of a cow pasture

watching chewing cows watching sweating people play tennis: priceless
