apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Viennese Penthouse by Arkan Zeytinoglu

It is Friday and we wanted to share something inspiring before this weekend. This amazing Viennese penthouse was designed by Arkan Zeytinoglu. We love the sculptural quality of the space. It feels very geometric and modern. The bright pops of red in the otherwise neutral color palette bring it all together. The apartment is 300 square meters (about 3200 sq feet) with an additional 100 square meter terrace.

We came across this penthouse on the Coolboom website. We are envious of all the light in this apartment. Also the dark wood floor looks great in combination with the simple white walls. The built-in cabinets and shelves provide plenty of storage. Sheer curtains separate the bedroom from the rest of the space, making it feel more cozy. We also have to mention the staircase leading to the roof; it is very sculptural and modern.

Check out more photos on Arkan Zeytinoglu's website.

Oh, what it would be to live in Europe and have tons of money.

Ooooo... I love this. So very 70's in many ways and quite sculptural too.

I love how they utilized the cabinetry in bringing in pops of color by painting the underside of the upper cabinets, running down a strip of wall, the counter and the side end of the cooking island and of course, the slanted wall/bench to create a continuous band or red in an otherwise all crisp white wall, striking.

I love how the bedroom wing had bands of color in each segments, each different, almost like a rainbow and these colors seem to demarcate the different areas of the space.

Size and money sources aside, I love how the space is executed overall and it's one I can enjoy just fine.
