With the holiday feasting about to begin, we're reminded that not all of us have actual dining rooms. Sometimes you have to make do with what you have -- like John does in his 700-square foot apartment in the Mission.

John's pulled together a great dining room out of part of his kitchen, and it looks fantastic. Who wouldn't want to sit down to a meal here?

Lovely! The table looks inviting and fresh. I like the plates --- are they rounded triangles? Cool!

Your appliances make me salivate. Forget sitting down at the table, can I come over and cook? ;)
You did a great job with the set-up, especially given the small area you have! I remember your spice cabinet from the house tour. Seriously. I NEED to come over and cook!

The space is perfect and everything looks cozy and ready for a nice meal with lots of friends and family!
Me and my fiance have a small kitchen too. Ever since my fiance proposed to me with a gorgeous diamond engagement ring from www.idonowidont.com we've moved in together in our new little place.
We also have a little table set up in our living area for Thanksgiving. It's cozy but it works for us, like it does for you and John!

THAT's "make do"? Pretty darn snazzy.

I'd like to know about the "make do" part. Are there other pictures? Before/after? Some interesting or dual use of space? More, please...
