'Tonale' Line by David Chipperfield Architects for Alessi

042309 tonale.jpgThis post on dishware the other day got us thinking about ways to blend different colors or styles of dishes into one cohesive set. Then we saw the new 'Tonale' line by architect David Chipperfield for Alessi. Wow. Despite the use of glass, wood, and ceramics in several different colors, the set feels calm and beautifully unified.

042309 tonale 2.jpgWe say it's due to the simplicity of form and light, natural tones (light grays, blush, and white) that the pieces are able to blend so harmoniously. The collection ranges in price from $14 to $98 and is available now from Zinc Details, both online and in store.
