Mirror on a Hook

1106mirror01.jpg

For the small entryway, take a look at this little mirror hanging from a coat hook. Perfect for a quick check on the way out the door...

We can't imagine not having room for this. And it's really all that's needed to check your face and - quick smile, your teeth - before heading out. Almost like the mirror in a compact, but for the home.

The idea comes from a photograph by Jim Franco featured at Deco Detective.

practical idea, but how many people routinely look in a mirror before stepping out? I've never heard of such a thing before....

Hmmm...in my opinion everyone should check a mirror before they leave. Just sayin.

Can't say I'm a fan of the mirror on a hook. A small mirror in the entryway is totally normal to me, though. I'm used to seeing them in a lot of households I visit.

Nice idea if you don't actually ever put anything on your hooks. If I did this I'd have to dig under several scarves/hats/coats/bags to get to the mirror.

I always check in the mirror before going out... this is a very smart little idea :-)

Why not just hang a small mirror on the wall? This set-up seems precarious.

A little mirror on the wall is much more practical. Who needs seven yrs. bad luck when that little thing is knocked to the floor?

I love this idea! And it always makes sense to check yourself before you leave the house.

I agree with sassydo. I see this either falling and breaking or getting scratched up by those keys I see on the hook with it. I think it would have been simpler to add a small mirror to the wall - it could have been made look good by framing it.
