Playtime Wallpaper

az_town.jpgIt's a pet peeve of ours that nursery decor designers never seem to think about all the kids who grow up in cities. City kids need to learn to say "street car," "store," and "taxi!," more than "pig," "cow," and "horse."

So we are excited to see that Absolute Zero Degrees' new wallpaper line for children, Playtime, includes a pattern called Do you live in town? in a muted brown and white colorway called milk chocolate. Offer a kid a choice between this and farm scenes for their walls and it's a no-brainer.

The whole line is great and also includes Knock Knock, a pattern of graphic numerals, Battery Square, which crazy quilts odd objects and numerals, and Six of One, which nods to the must-have-farm-animals-in-the-nursery-madness with its surreal combination of egg-laying turkeys and flowers.

Rolls are $82 and are available through Velocity.

I LOVE that "Do you live in town?" paper. And I'm no kid anymore!

I did forget to mention that I am the designer of this wallpaper, and that this is one of the best write ups we have had - it totally sums up what we set out to achieve. Many thanks for featuring us.
