A spinnaker is a type of large sail, lightweight and often colorful. While we've seen messenger bags made from old ones for a while now, what better use of the seafaring material than for a shower curtain?

These from Ella Vickers come with either red or blue graphics — the number against the white sail.
$79 here.

I'll take what's behind Curtain number 3.
I guess that's the first thing to get out of my system. I think they're keen if you like this sort of thing... you can just have some random sheet of sail that doesn't blatantly announce "sail" or you can really theme it up if you like. It's sports-y or casual random-curiosity element, in bright colors but not nauseating amounts of them.

You could fake this pretty easily by buying some vinyl letters and sticking it on a regular shower curtain. Although there's something appealing about the crinkly sound of dacron.
Chevrons and a class insignia would be a nice touch too.

I think I would just go down to the marina or sailmaker and start making friends. Hopefully you can get one cheap and just have the sailmaker cut/sew and grommet for you :) Spinnakers are NOT cheap...so maybe this wouldn't actually save you money, but at least you would make some friends :)

Living in a ridiculously humid climate (the great jungle of Kansas City that is) this would be fantastic. It would dry quick and give a nice light airy feel to the bathroom.
(Or maybe I would just want to go sailing everything I went to the little girls room?)

Oh I love this! Ikea has some awesome sail curtains in their kid's section that I just bought for my kitchen. They don't have them online but they are in the stores.
