Name: SRAM
Location: San Mateo
Type: 2 bedroom apartment, owned
Why I use color:
This is the first place, since I left home for college (ten years ago!), that I have lived at for more than a year (it's been a year and two months and with no plans to move any time soon). It's been so exciting making this place our home. We have been doing it through renovation, decoration, and color! Nothing brings feeling to a space like color.
I play with colors to create the feeling of my home. I want our home to be cozy and comfortable; clean and cool; and unique and creative. It's a work in progress...

2 Good color tips:
Use plants, and plant holders, to add splashes of color to a room.
Take advantage of windows with creative and colorful window coverings.

Favorite type and brand of paint:
I have been using Dutch Boy Clarity - it has no VOC's and is easily accessible at local hardware stores.
Hi! Where did you get the curtains in the kitchen?

The colors in this are gorgeous, especially the shower tile. The kitchen curtains seem a bit jarring to me though.

Is that kitchen window shade still available? I didn't see it on the site. Love it!

Found the panel on IKEA - the Andrea panel (shown in purple, click options to see the orange.)

You could do better chosing another lamp above your kitchen sink. That tiny blue thing is disturbing my eye..

It's a little hard to judge just based on these snippets alone. a more aerial view of the space would be helpful.
