Why I use color:
I use color because it makes me happy everyday to wake up to cool green and blue, to walk into an orange kitchen with the light streaming in (we get precious little in Seattle) the Mondrian tile in my shower makes me smile in anticipation of the day...
...and when I sit down to breakfast or dinner the wonderful celadon of the walls and vaulted ceilings of my place make for a calm serene transition from day to night, work to play and back again a never ending nurturing environment.
2 Good color tips:
Coffee and cream, orange and lime, the best colors combos should sound good enough to eat.
Mix complimentary woods, nature does and it makes any scene more interesting.
Favorite type and brand of paint:
Sherwin Williams flat latex paints and glazes.

that's an excellent entry way, though. if you wouldn't have used flash, the light wouldn't have bounced off the framed artwork and there wouldn't be the weird reflections, though.
