Flickr Finds: A Studious Summer House

It's no accident that we get inspiration from folks' summer homes. Though we live in the city with no second home forthcoming, we identify with a similar approach to living — a quite retreat with only the basics. Less fuss, less stress.

This home is not flashy or designed, but it is serene and colorful, appointed to serve the simple needs of its inhabitants.

Love the group of prints on the wall...this summer home does look soothing

I have the same clipped up polaroids in my house but i used wooden clothespins that i painted to match my living room and hooked them onto a hemp rope that I crochetted and pinned up with thumb tacks with buttons glued onto them. It's such a simple project that can be morphed to fit any decor!
