Flickr Finds: A Succulent Coffee Table

2007_06_07_flickrfinds.jpg
If you're lacking green space outside, take a cue from Victoria (also known as SFGirlbyBay and occasional AT:SF contributor). Succulents bring the outdoors inside in a way that's approachable even for the green thumb-challenged.
Got something fab to share? Tag your flickr pics with the AT:SF tag: apartmenttherapysanfrancisco ...and we'll find you there.

Victoria planted a row of these hardy, beachy plants in an old tin and parked it on a prized vintage rolling cart to make one of the most pleasingly simple coffee table vignettes we've ever seen.

Very nice SFGBB...

the natural patina of rust etc./plants juxtaposed against the clear perfection of glass.

I'm on a succulent trip. Bought three small ones to go with the two large ones I already had. BTW, what do you do when they get leggy?

I love this. The table is gorgeous with its natural imperfections. I think the plant is just perfect. This is just my style.

this is so late a reply, everyone - I apologize - gone on holiday.

thank you all so much. it's just an old rolling cart on wheels (the'doodads' you were asking about egertor) that I had a piece of 1/2" thick glass cut for. the tin was $1 at the flea market.

ebrown, when they get leggy, break them off and stick 'em dirt. they grow like weeds~
