Flickr Finds: Bits and Bobbins' Multi-Textured Corner

2007_06_21_bitsandbobbins.jpg
Welcome to Bits and Bobbins, who shared some shots of her color- and craft-infused home via our flickr tag.

We posted this shot because we love the way B&B has skillfully complemented the spareness of these bent ply lounge chairs (Ikea?) with interesting textures and strongly silhouetted shapes like the striking orange glass lamp.

Got something fab to share? Tag your flickr pics with the AT:SF tag: apartmenttherapysanfrancisco ...and we'll find you there.

The color palette is carefully reined in to a cheerful high-contrast of poppy and neutral beige -- which makes a perfect, simple foil for an interesting collection of tactile objects and surfaces. Hardwood floors, soft embroidered pillows, textured ceramic vases, translucent glass, prickly cacti, fluffy sheepskin, and a shiny, vintage mosaic coffee table. The textures are so inviting that we'd love to visit.

Thanks Bits and Bobbins!

I just bought one of those chairs, this is totally inspiring! And I love the creamsicle color palette!

These chairs are fantastic! They are from Ikea, and run around $100 each. And they are COMFY! There is a matching ottoman as well, but IMO it's a bit bulky for what it is.

Oh munckee but the chair and the ottoman together make the perfect shape for lounging. We got both and when there is a crowd someone always ends up sitting on the ottoman or using it to feed a kid or something so I think it was totally worth it. However, we do have enough space for it so I wasn't worried about any added bulk.
