Reading is our number one favorite activity, so this book nook looks like a little slice of heaven. While it's not readily apparent here, mousing over the picture in Flickr reveals the significance of almost every shelf and display, from the rug carried from Tunisia to the travel books and "secret diaries."
Folks who are Cure-ing right now are focusing on editing books and other media this week, and this is a great example of a way to display and honor a meaningful collection.

but wouldn't a spot by the window give better reading light.. my eyes feel tired after reading in dim-ish lighting after a short while.

there is a reading lamp attached to the floor lamp, only it isn't on in the pic. and in the evening the window wouldn't help much anyway, would it?
