Flickr Finds: Noodylicious's Phone Nook

Welcome to Noodylicious, whose real name eludes us. But one more for the re-invented phone nook series! (Noody added our tag, "apartmenttherapysanfrancisco," to her phone nook pic on Flickr.)

This is an interesting one: part Victorian relic, part mod landing strip (note the addition of a colorful and practical Ikea Jagga). And, it begs questions:

 
 

• Does that phone work or is it just decorative?
• Great, bold color combination. What's the maker and name of that lovely blue?

That's me!
The phone doesn't work to make calls, but I can press a button on the side to buzz people through my building's front door. It's left over from when my building was a hotel (back in the '20s and '30s I think); there's another button still labeled "front desk".
The paint color is "Hawaiian Sky" by Dutch Boy.

That is seriously cool. I love built ins and wish my 50's house had some. Hehehe, in fact pictures like these make me want to add some and try to make them look original lol. :)
