We love the mix of new and vintage, tough and soft, as well as the clean, modern lines of the furniture and the very personal way it's all assembled.
We recognize PB's Drew Bedside Table alongside the steel bed frame, but the vintage pieces are what really caught our eye and what make the room come alive. Those great aqua accordian lamps provide a happy while still restrained splash of color amid the matte and glossy neutrals, and the vintage anatomy diagram is a bold, graphic way to highlight the headspace. The unique finds make the space feel personal, warm and inviting.
Thanks for sharing, rustyletter! (More pics below the jump.)

amy's great apartment in chicago has some similar anatomy charts. i love how both amy and rustyletter have integrated them.
Very cool! This is one where I just sigh happily when looking at it. Such a good deployment of neutrals for a crisp, yet soothing effect.
does anyone know where the bedframe is from (or who sells a similar one)? i love that it's steel but not shiny.
Looks like the CB2 bedframe: http://www.cb2.com/family.aspx?c=400&f=2461
i love the blue sconces. they add a fun burst of color.
I think it's the Parson's bed from Room and Board. Click on my name to see it. The bed from CB2 (City Block bed) is much lower and squatter.
Wow, thanks guys.
The bed is the parsons from room and board.
I just picked up the lamps from *sheepishly* PB Teen. I've been loving turquise lately.
It still needs some work, but all in good time...
I love love love the lamps. I just may have to get em...
where is everyone getting these great anatomy charts from? i have been thrifting and ebaying for years and still haven't found any. so jealous.
Eric, I got this one at Ivan Home in Berkeley. I often see them at the Alameda Antique Fair.
I haven't had much luck finding them online, but I haven't really looked that hard.
Eric,
Besides Ivan Home and Alameda, you might want to check out Past Perfect.
(Check out the AT:SF archives for posts on all three of those places, by the way.)
Eric,
There's a great source for these charts in North Beach called Aria (on Grant). You won't get thrift store prices there, but its a neat place to poke around.

Where is your big white armoire / cabinet in your bedroom from? thats just what i'm looking for!!!
Stefan -
It's the PAX system from Ikea. I didn't like the knob selection there, but I found some interesting ones at Anthropologie.
Amy - I love it. The lamps and anatomy charts are great.
RE: Anatomy Charts: I know Swallowtail on Polk St. in SF carry these types of charts, but are a wee bit expensive. Try Ivan Home for sure...and you could check with Zonal - they sometimes have them too. I've been looking for an Eye Exam Chart if anyone sees one. ;)
Oh my God. The originality is completely negated by the letter S in the corner.
I'm totally kidding. This place is great, and I love the chart.
I love this room...
I have been looking for botanical anatomy charts along this line. Anybody have any suggestions for these (I'd rather look at cut up flowers that bodies...although this one is very cool). I live in NOLA, so I need an online source...
lovely illustration of what you can do in a small bedroom. Anatomy charts gross me out.
saw these anatomical charts when I was walking on 9th avenue in manhattan yesterday
I love the lamps! The Bedroom looks beautiful. I also like the big white cabinetry. Was that custom?
