In this case it's less about the flower pots full of red, pink and yellow geraniums (which are indeed pretty but not extraordinarily so), but about the way they pop against the yellow and gold color scheme of the house.

I'm happy to see this stoop getting recognition! I have passed it so many times walking home from the train stop. It brightens the walk down to Haight, and call me crazy, but these flowers are partly responsible for relieving my after work stresses.
Can we nominate houses? There is one on 17th St 1/3 up the hill from Market that is always overflowing with flowers. It is amazing how many the owner has fit in.
