ICFF 2007: Council

One of the most exciting things at ICFF was the launch of Council's first collection, "Optimism."

Founded by San Franciscan Derek Chen (who we blogged here), the collection includes seating, tables, a credenza, a chest of drawers, and a modular storage system. The impressive list of designers of Council's debut line includes locals Mike and Maaike and One & Co, Khodi Feiz, and Arik Levy.

According to its website, "The brand is targeting what it believes to be a growing market for high-end design-driven home furnishings. Influenced by their parents’ mid-century tastes and an increasing accessibility to thoughtful design, Council’s customers will value utility and design, character and substance."
